Job description
We are looking for Sr. Officer/ Assistant Manager - Tax & Company Affairs (Garments/Textile)

Company Affairs Task:

Organizing and preparing agendas and papers for board meetings, committees and annual general meetings (AGMs)

RJSC annual return filling and preservation of related documents

Taking minutes, drafting resolutions, lodging required forms and annual returns with Companies House

Following up on actions from meetings

Overseeing policies, making sure they are kept up to date and referred to the appropriate committee for approval

Maintaining statutory books, including registers of members, directors and secretaries

Monitoring changes in relevant legislation and the regulatory environment and taking appropriate action

Liaising with external regulators and advisers, such as lawyers and auditors

Accounts & Tax Matter:

Prepare the Annual Financial Statement for Tax purposes

Overseeing the reconciliation of all bank accounts with monthly, yearly

Calculate income tax liability of Companies, Employees, Directors and Expatriate and give advice or suggest for reducing tax burden.

Prepare or review income tax return files of Directors, Companies, Foreign Expatriate & Employees and ensure submitting such return in due time.

Presence for hearing, assessment & settlement of income tax with DCT, ACT, and JCT and obtain clearance certificate of income tax from NRB.

Ensure deduction at source of all AIT & VAT from supplier or service provider and deposit it to the Bangladesh Bank as per applicable rules & regulations

Filling appeal to the Commissioner of Taxes (Appeal), filling 2nd Appeal to the Appellate Commissioner of Taxes Appellate Tribunal, and also filling Appeal to the High Court with written argument in favor of the assesses for getting tax benefits
